Bachelor and bachelorette
parties are notorious for, err, shall we say, a little naughty behavior. But
where is the line drawn between your soon-to-be-hubby bro-ing out with his
friends, and going full on handsy with someone at a strip club? Reddit user
Ham387 was just confronted with this very dilemma.
She posts that her fiancé
and his friends went to the mountains for his bachelor party weekend, and while
they were there, they went to a strip club—something she had previously told
him was A-OK. However, "a few of his friends got a little carried away at
the strip club and paid for [her] fiancé to get some alone time with the
stripper. The stripper basically jerked [her] fiancé off..." Um, yikes.
Clearly, she was upset by
the fact that her fiancé allowed a stranger to do something to him that was
much more intimate than a lap dance. But since she gave him the go-ahead to go
to a strip club, she's wondering if she should really feel betrayed.
Her fiancé claimed he was
coerced by his friends and didn't know what was happening when he entered the
room, but does that excuse his behavior? Reddit users jumped in to help.
Here's what they had to say:
"There are no wrong answers
to this, what matters is how you feel. If you feel that you can let it go and
you still want to marry him then by all means go ahead. If you think it will be
hanging over your relationship for ever then it's probably not fair on either
of you to proceed with the wedding." —HugoRune1965
"I think some people
probably want see him punished for cheating, and are afraid you could be taken
for a fool by trusting him again. Those people don't know you, or your
relationship though, so be wary of getting too caught up in the pitchforks. If
you think you'll be happier with him, and you can move past it, then obviously
that's the best decision for you." —hatefilled_possum
"I think boundaries
should ALWAYS be discussed before someone's SO is going to a strip club.
Always. Its one of the few ways to try to make sure nobody gets hurt."

"Stripper of 6 years
here. You should know that I've seen plenty of bachelor parties at strip clubs.
Plenty of grooms do not get sexual favors, just lap dances. I've seen grooms
shut down receiving sexual favors too. It's usually the grooms men who hook up
with the strippers, even if a private room is involved. I would not forgive
him. You should call the wedding off." —littleQOTSAlady
